What is Poker?

Poker

Poker is a game where players are tasked with completing a set of tasks. One of those tasks is creating the best possible hand. During the game, players will have two cards in their hands, as well as five cards on the table. They will then bet one last time, revealing their hands. The objective of the game is to create the best hand possible by using cards from their hand and the cards on the table. The person who has the highest hand at the end of the game wins the pot.

Poker can be played with any number of players, although six to eight players are preferred. The pot is the total amount of all bets made by all players in one round. Players can win the pot by having the best poker hand or making a bet that no one else calls. If there are more players than six, two separate games are played.

Different types of poker have different betting structures. Each betting interval starts with a player putting in a bet. The next player must raise their bet in the same amount as the player before him. If that player loses, they lose their chip stack in the pot.
